Stanley Rousseau, age 91, of Florida and Maine, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 in Androscoggin Hospice House, Auburn, ME.
Stan was born September 23, 1930 to Edgar and Helen Rousseau in Birmingham, MI. After completing his formal education and seminary formation, he was ordained to the Roman Catholic priesthood for the Diocese of Bridgeport in 1956. He served the people of God in a variety of assignments for fifty-five years including six years as a missionary in Peru.
On September 14,2013, Stan married Mary Ann Algiere in Maine. He often mentioned how grateful he was to have had two vocations, priesthood and marriage.
In addition to his wife, Mary Ann, he is survived by his sister, Helen McLaughlin of Rockford, Illinois, nieces Helen (Greg) Timp, Julie (Jim) Meisinger, Liz Batson and nephew Kevin (Julie) McLaughlin. Also, through marriage, sons, Wally (Sandy)LeBlanc and Michael (Rhonda) LeBlanc. Grandson, Paul (Olympia Thibault) LeBlanc, great grandchildren, Lincoln Wilfred-David and Antonia Marie LeBlanc, brother in law, John (Kathy) Algiere and sister in law, Marjorie Whipple, niece, Kate Algiere and nephew, Ben (Michelle , Audrey) Algiere.
