Roland J Carlberg, 67, of Milford, CT peacefully passed away on December 28, 2021 at Connecticut Hospice.
Roland was born on May 26, 1954 in Bridgeport, CT to the late Eleanor (Lindell) and C. Roland Carlberg. He was the "youngest" of 3 children
He is survived by his wife Lucy (Bower) Carlberg of Milford, CT; children Christopher (Melissa) Sudac, Elizabeth Sudac and Lindell (John) Pantazis; his two adored grandchildren Desiree Sudac and John Pantazis. His sisters Barbara (late Ronald) Howard and Janice (James) Luciani. Along with several nephews and nieces
Roland was a life member of the Salem Lutheran Church. He was an ASE Certified Auto Mechanic throughout his career. You could always find him in his garage tinkering with an engine. In his earlier years he enjoyed snow and water skiing. He was very proud of his Scandinavian heritage. Roland had a keen eye and passion for photography. He was very proud to have been an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed being a volunteer at Bridgeport Hospital. He was a walking encyclopedia; if it was 7pm you would always find him watching Jeopardy. He enjoyed taking care of his grand-dog Ruger. In his later years ,he enjoyed learning how to use Alexa and have her play him his favorite songs. His journey with his wife to all 50 states was completed in 2019 ending in Alaska . Friends may call on Thursday March 10,2022 from 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to a charity of one’s choice.
