Edmund P. Rihbany

Edmund P. Rihbany, age 85, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Mary and father to James, passed away on March 19, 2023. 

In addition to his loving wife Mary and son Jamie, his memory will be cherished by his sister, Joseph Nunziata; and many nieces and nephews. Edmund was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Jemily Ayob Rihbany; and his siblings, Joseph, Michael, Felibe, Evelyn, and Sada Rihbany, Rosline Rudnick. 

Born and raised in New Bedford, MA, Edmund was a graduate of Brown University, served his country in the United States Navy, and later received his Masters from University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. He retired after a successful career in the Plastics Sales Industry. He met his devoted wife Mary, and resided in New Rochelle, NY and Stamford, before moving to Fairfield in 1973, where they raised their son Jamie. Edmund took great pride in maintaining his home and enjoyed summers on the water, especially on Fairfield Beach and the Jersey Shore's LBI. Along with several dear friends, he established a winemaking and tasting club, relishing time together while perfecting their hobby. 

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service conducted at 6:30 p.m. in the Larson Funeral Home (now located in the Lesko building) 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center.
