Arnold John Beasley, age 75, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Lisa Hultgren Beasley, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
Born in Perry, OK, to the late Herman and Mabel Kirtley Beasley, John proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. He worked as a program delivery manager and insurance specialist for FEMA. His job consisted of dealing with disasters and natural catastrophes with insurance companies around the country. John loved to travel and was able to do that a lot for his work where he enjoyed meeting new people and seeing old friends.
Jon loved to travel the world with his wife and venture to Oklahoma often to visit family and friends. John was a member of the Scandinavian Club and Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. He took great pleasure in playing golf, watching OU Sooners Football, and going to church with Lisa.
In addition to his devoted wife, Lisa, John is survived by his children, John Dean Beasley, of Tulsa, OK, Carie Beasley Lewis and her wife Kimi Lewis, of Oklahoma City, OK, Christopher Beasley, and his wife, Tracy Chandler Beasley, of Charlotte, NC, and Shaun Beasley, of Denver, CO; three adored grandchildren, Alyson Beasley Williams, of Skiatook, OK, Jennifer Beasley Anderson, of Owasso, OK, and Kaylynn Barber, of Miami, OK; six great-grandchildren; a niece, Haley Beasley, of Healdton, OK; and by sister in law Ingrid Hultgren Grierson of Bremen, ME and two nephews, Eric Grierson of Damariscotta, ME and Ian Grierson of Rangely, ME. In addition to his parents, Herman and Mabel, John was predeceased by his brother, Donald Dean Beasley, of Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 160 Hill Farm Road, Fairfield, CT 06824. Interment will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may greet the family on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his service.
