Adela (Dolly) Grayeski age 91 of Bridgeport, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Bridgeport Hospital. Dolly was born in Fairfield, Connecticut on November 23, 1930 to the late Manuel and Ines Fernandez Arbas. She was a lifelong Bridgeport resident. Dolly was employed for Handy and Harman in Human Resources for over 25 years. She then worked at Ansonia Copper and Brass until her retirement. Dolly was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Peter's Church in Bridgeport. She was the recipient of the St. Augustine's metal of service for her parish and was also acknowledged for her outstanding volunteer work at the church. Dolly was an avid reader, and looked forward to the newest book release from her favorite author Mary Higgins Clark. Dolly was a youthful, vibrant, meticulous woman who cherished spending time with her family and friends. She took great pride and joy in celebrating her grandson and great grandchildren's accomplishments and milestones. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her beloved grandson John Grayeski and his wife Dora of Shelton, her cherished great grandchildren Tyler and Ruby, who meant the world to her and several nieces. Dolly was predeceased by her brother Anthony Arbas, sister Maria Rock and nephew David Jackel. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 10:45 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, 695 Colorado Avenue, Bridgeport. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Peter's Church.
