Ty Iang, 55, passed away in a tragic incident on Saturday, January 4th, 2020 in his beloved home in Flowery Branch, Georgia.
Ty was born on April 1st, 1964 to Muang and Ouam Iang in Battambong, Cambodia. At age 13, he was separated from his parents under the Khmer Rouge and, against all odds, survived the communist camp. He later reunited with his family in the US at the age of 18.
Ty graduated from Bassick High School, in Bridgeport, CT, and went to pursue his passion in Auto Mechanics at Bullard-Haven Tech. With these skills and his own intuition, he worked his way up to become a Master Mechanic with Mercedes-Benz.
In 1988, Ty married his wife Meakna and had four wonderful boys: Terrence (29), Timmy (24), Austin (21) and Allen (16). They lived in Bridgeport for many years before relocating to Georgia in 2006.
Ty was a loving, caring and devoted family man. He dedicated his life to working hard and providing for his family — always putting the needs of the ones he loved before himself.
Ty leaves behind both of his parents, three brothers, two sisters, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved by all and will be greatly missed.
