Margaret Mulford

Mulford- Margaret Teresa (Bunny) Mulford, age 68, of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday November 10, 2017 at the CT Hospice in Branford surrounded by eight of her closest relatives. Bunny was born in Bridgeport on February 22, 1949, she was proud to have grown up in Yellow Mill Village (Fr Panik Village). She attended St. Mary's School and later Blessed Sacrament School. After graduation from Central High School in 1967, she worked for the City of Bridgeport, first in the Comtrollers office and then in the Records Room of the Bridgeport Police Department where is retired in 1993. After retiring she went to work as a secretary for St. Augustines Cathedral Parish for 14 years, where she had started out volunteering in several capacities especially as a religious education teacher, and youth group leader in addition to being a Lector and Eucharist minister. Many will remember her as the "Pocket Lady" at Parish festivals. A staunch Democrat, she was a member of the Bridgeport Federation of Democratic Women. She was an honorary member of the Greater Bridgeport Retired  Teacher Association, a former member of the 3rd order of St. Francis and the Mercy Association. Bunny was predeceased by her parents George and Anna (Hagan) Mulford, two brothers George and Marty and two sisters; Kay and Mary Jane. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Mulford, two nephews, John Provasoli and Michael Mulford, two nieces Anne Goldberg and her husband Steve and Patty Timmons. Two grand nephews; John and Anthony Provasoli and a grand niece Leanna Timmons and many cousins living in CT, NY, Maryland, Colorado, Utah and Texas. Friends are invited to attend her Funeral on Wednesday at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, in Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by her first cousin Rev. Dennis Mason, OFM Conv. Burial will be in St. Michaels Cemetery in Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday at the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Ave, Bridgeport from 4 to 8 pm. The family would like to thank all of the medical staff and clergy who cared for her in the last 52 days of her life, especially Rev Michael Flynn, Rev Stefan Murauski, OFM Conv, Rev Higgins Agu and Dr. Chris Uiannino who at CT Hospice made her last few days comfortable. Donations maybe made to either the CT Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, Our Lady of the Assumption Church or to a charity of ones choice. To light a candle or leave a condolence on line go to
