Alan John NagyApril 12, 2017
Alan John Nagy passed away unexpectedly Wednesday April 12, 2017. Alan was born in Bridgeport CT to Jennie Nagy and deceased James Nagy. He grew up in Black Rock with his sister Lisa and mother. He married in 1976 to Gail. They lived in Maine together and raised their children, (oldest to youngest) Alan, Jenna, and Brett. He worked as a carpenter and tradesman for a number of years, taking pride in his work. He loved working outdoors and gardening around his home. Alan enjoyed fishing as a hobby, even if the really big one always got away. He loved all animals and feeding his porch critters. They too will even miss him. He enjoyed time with his friends, drinking a cold beer and listening to music-he kept things simple. He brought happiness to those around him and enjoyed drives by the beach. He valued his time with all of those close to him, especially his good friend Scott. Scott and Alan shared many great memories together some of the greatest going to sporting events and concerts. He was a father, proud of all his children’s accomplishments and loved them beyond measure. He supported his children and loved his family unconditionally. He taught his children to work hard and go after what they want out of life. Alan always liked to have a good time and knew how to make those around him laugh. His sense of humor will never be forgotten and his quirky jokes will be carried on in the lives of those he touched. He adored his mother and sister and would have done absolutely anything for them. He will be greatly missed by everyone and we are all deeply saddened by the loss; he meant so much to all of us. Life will not be the same without Alan but we will keep his memory alive with all of the great memories we have shared with him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alan’s name to American Heart Association or Animal Rescue League .
